Chai Guys started back in 2016 when owners Gabriel and Abs gave up their corporate careers to bring authentic chai to London. Gabriel grew up in New Delhi and Abs’ family is from Gujarat so chai was a massive part of their lives, but nothing in the UK quite hit the same.
“Everything that existed in London was akin to the sugary-filled chai lattes you get at coffee shops”, Gabriel told us. “We wanted to change that first because we wanted really great tasting, authentic chai for ourselves but also, we wanted people in the UK to experience it.” And we have to agree – there’s really is nothing like it.
